What is the Ramadan Hamper project

The Ramadan Hamper Project started in 2007 to give an opportunity to the community to share in the spirit of giving during Ramadan. This proved to be a very successful project and was very well received by the community.  We had an extraordinary contribution from the community with large amounts of non-perishable goods collected and packed into hampers.  These were then distributed to refugee, humanitarian families and elderly or people living on their own who are on limited income. 

One of the touching gestures was that we had young children donating gold coins and this was then made into meat vouchers and distributed to the above group.  We envision this to be an ongoing event insha Allah.
